Ronald “Ron” F. Baake,79, of Seymour passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay with his family at his side. Ron was born on September 1, 1943 son of the late Frederick and Grace (Van Den Elzen) Baake in Green Bay. Ron was united in marriage to Kathleen (nee Boettcher) Uhlenbrauck on October 12, 1991 in Seymour having celebrated 31 years of marriage.

Ron attended Owego grade school in a one room schoolhouse in Pittsfield Wi. At the young age of 14, Ron started working at Laney Cheese Factory where he was employed through high school. He later graduated in 1961 from Pulaski High School. Directly after graduating, Ron started his career at Procter and Gamble paper products where he worked as a millwright and technician until retirement. Along with his employment at Procter and Gamble, Ron was the tax assessor for the towns of Green Valley, Maple Grove, and the city of Seymour. In 2001, Ron along with Kathy founded the Amish Home Gallery furniture store in Appleton, and later added a second store in Green Bay.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Kathy; children and grandchildren: Michelle and Doug Van Rens (Jacob, Nicholas, and Ashley), Mellissa Portillo (Dominic (Allie) and Gabriel (Amanda Howsare)), Matasha and Noe Albanil (Anthony, MaKayla,Nolan,Mariska); Terry and Lisa (Myszka) Uhlenbrauck, Troy and Teresa and her son Caleb (Briski) Uhlenbrauck (Haden), and Todd and Abbey Uhlenbrauck (Walker and Jordyn); great grandchildren: Layla, Adalynn, Stella, and Luke. He is further survived by a brother , Vernon (Lucille) Baake; mother-in-law, June Boettcher; brothers-in-law: Kurt (Debbie) Boettcher and Kent Boettcher. Ron is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by brother, Marvin (Eldora) Baake; and sister Carol (Gerald) Kaiser.

Visitation for Ron will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home in Seymour on Monday, August 7 , 2023 from 3:00 pm until the funeral service at 6:00 pm with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating.
