God lovingly welcomed Thomas John Wisneski home with open arms on Friday, June 23, 2023. He was born October 29, 1936, to Joseph and Florence Wisneski in his home, which his grandfather built.
Tom attended grade school at St. Joseph and graduated from Appleton West. Tom proudly served in the U.S. army.
He married Janet Derga on May 9th, 1959 at St. Therese Catholic Church and they shared 64 years together.
Tom worked at Appleton Structural Steel for 35 years as Vice President, Merrill Iron and Steel as sales manager and ended his career at Abel manufacturing as operations manager. Tom was very active at Saint Pius X parish with the RCIA program, Board of Education President, attending bible studies, church picnics and was a Eucharistic Minister. He loved downhill skiing, golfing, camping, social gathering and spending time with his many friends.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Janet, his daughter Karen (Mike) Wachuta, his son David (Brenda) Wisneski, grandchildren Stephanie (Michael) Reyes, Steven (Robyn) Wachuta, Jacob Wachuta and Corbin, Katelyn and Connor Wisneski. He is also survived by his three great grandchildren, Savannah and Isaiah Reyes and Maren Wachuta.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Linda; sisters Patricia Stelow, Joan Schultz and his brother Robert; sister-in-law Gloria Griesbach; brother-in-law Marvin Derga.
The mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 11:30 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St. Appleton, WI 54911 with Father James Jugenheimer presiding followed by full military honors. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 29th beginning at 9:00am until the time of service at the church.
The family of Tom would like to send a thank you to Eagle Point Memory Care as we know that he will be missed by all the friends he made there.
Tom's family would also like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses on the 8th floor at Thedacare Regional Medical Center and his hospice nurses for all their care and compassion shown to Tom and his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to your favorite charitable organization in Tom's name.
