Obituary
Connie Lamers, 73, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Connie was born on January 20, 1949 to Merlin and Laverene (Wink) Ott. On April 17, 1971 she was united in marriage to Denis Lamers. Connie was a thoughtful, caring person who always put others before herself. She was always busy cooking and baking for everyone on the farm so no one went hungry. Connie enjoyed her flower beds, baking (especially chocolate chip cookies), and taking care of everyone. She was involved in Camp Forest, the Legion Auxiliary, and Zion United Methodist Church, where she was very active.

Connie is survived by her husband Denis, children; Chris Lamers, Laurie (Andy) Van Dyck, Todd (Elvira) Lamers, Michael Lamers, and Jon (Neeley) Lamers, grandchildren; Cory Hermes, Ashley Van Dyck, Bret (fiancé Kasondra) Van Dyck, Destiny (James) Long, Daisy Lamers, Nyelli Lamers, Trevor Lamers, Payton Lamers, Cody Lamers, David Lamers, Lily Lamers, Mac Lamers, and Royce Lamers, a great grandson Dominic Long, siblings; Chuck (Karen) Ott, Dale (Kathy) Ott, Faye (Garry) Moore, LoAnn (Gary) Boesch, a sister-in-law Jill Ott, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Maurice (Dallas) Lamers, Carol Gossen, Ione Gerrits, Carol Lamers and Elton “Pete” Petersen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Larry Ott, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Jim Lamers, Mary Ada Petersen, John Lamers, Edward “Budd” Gerrits and Orville Goosen.

The funeral service for Connie will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Methodist Church, N8893 Church St. Forest Junction.
