Mary A Berendsen

Mary E. Rich, age 90, of De Pere, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. The daughter of the late Richard and Charlotte (Heesaker) Berendsen was born on October 17, 1932. On August 20, 1960 she married Len Rich. Mary was proud to volunteer at the De Pere Christian Outreach for many years, was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed gardening and time spent with her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in De Pere.
Mary is survived by her sons: John (Donna) and their children Adam and Michael, and Andrew; as well as her sister-in-law Joy Rich.
In addition to her husband Len and parents, Richard and Charlotte; Mary was preceded in death by her brother Paul Berendsen, sister-in-law Lynne Berendsen; brother-in-law Joe Rich; and nephew Nathan Rich.
Family and friends may visit at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1307 Lourdes Ave, De Pere, on Tuesday, October 10, from 9:00am until 10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am with Fr. James Baraniak, O.Praem officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
