Bruce J. Vandenberg, age 63, passed away after a yearlong, valiant battle against cancer. He was born on August 31, 1959, son of the late Donald and Eleanor (DeGoey) Vandenberg. He met the love of his life, Stacy Meyerhofer and married her on November 3, 1990.

Bruce worked his entire career at Miller Electric, just retiring this year after 45 years and 7 months of dedicated service. He loved spending time at his peaceful place at the Pine Grove Campground in Shawano, where he found true peace in nurturing his beautiful flowers and yard and spending time with family and many friends. Bruce also enjoyed road trips and baking the best cookies around. He was a true artist. He made many flower arrangements and center pieces for family and friends and was always the one they relied on for home decorating tips. Most of all, Bruce was an extremely loving husband and a very proud dad. He was so proud of his three boys and all of their accomplishments.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 32 years, Stacy Vandenberg; three boys: Nick, Jake (special friend, Nikki and her sons, Ein and George) and Matt Vandenberg; siblings: Laurie (Steve) Presteen, Dan “Butch” (Sue) Vandenberg, David “Cricket” (Joan) Vandenberg, Linda (Jerry “Scooby”) Schumacher and Bryan “Cheesy” (Kristy) Vandenberg; brothers and sisters-in-law: Terry (Lori) Meyerhofer, Lynn (Kevin) Van Grinsven and Vicky Meyerhofer; father-in-law, Paul (Mary) Meyerhofer; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Eleanor Vandenberg; Stacy’s mother, Barbara Meyerhofer; and brothers-in-law: Jim and Tom Meyerhofer.

Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.
