Obituary

The family of Betty Jo Locy of Kimberly, Wisconsin is saddened to announce her passing on October 15, 2021 at the age of 87.

Betty was born in Lubbock, Texas the daughter of Gilbert and Charlsie Eubank. She called Wisconsin home since 1955 where she learned to love fishing and golf.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years, James C. Locy; children: Jim (Lora) and Larry (Linda); step children: Jeff (Dianne), Chuck (Anna) and Ann (Bob); grandchildren: Lawrence (Katie), Lauren, Lacy (Jason), Madison, Colton, Lane, Joey, CJ, Kaylee, Derrick, and Alex; seven great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Butch) Wright; three sisters- in-law Mary (the late Roger) Gloudemans, Alice (the late Bob) Weyers, Mary Ellen (the late Gerald) Locy, and a brother-in-law, Tom (Deb) Locy; numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and their spouses: Ben (Owassa), Carrol (Wilma), Clyde (Leta), Raymond (Anita); a sister and her husband, Beth (Lenard); four brothers-in-law and their spouses: Don (Floss) Locy, Dewain (Pat) Locy, David (Ruth) Locy, John (Yvonne) Locy; two sisters-in-law and their spouses: Dorothy (Harold) Bissing, Delores (Gene) Driessen.

Before moving to Wisconsin, Betty was the pianist at The County Line Baptist Church in Texas. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Appleton, Wisconsin. She served as a past president of the Kimberly Library. Betty also served as a past president of the Ladies Division of Fox Valley Golf Club where she also holds the distinction of scoring a hole in one! She loved to sing, play the piano and playing bridge and dominos with friends and family.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at First United Methodist Church, 325 E. Franklin Street, Appleton. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute, following the luncheon. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to your favorite charity.
