Pat Van Hammond, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 31, 1942, in Kimberly, the daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Van Asten) Van Gompel. Pat loved to travel to Vegas and Mexico, going to casinos, watching the Wisconsin sports teams, and playing cards. She was spunky with a great sense of humor. Spending time with her family and friends was the most important thing to her.

Pat is survived by her 2 sons: Martin (Ann) and David (Cristy) Van Hammond; 6 grandchildren: Rachel (Zach) Clausing, Grace (Jeff Corning), Matthew, Tyler (Mandy), Christian (MaKayla), and Brayden Van Hammond; 2 great grandchildren: Oaklyn and Avery Clausing; her siblings: Yvonne Corbett, Robert (Valerie) Van Gompel, Diane (Michael) Meier; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law: Tom Corbett.

Per her wishes, private services will be held. Inurnment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Fox Valley Humane Society.

Pat’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at ThedaCare Medical Center, Appleton for their care, compassion, and kindness.
