Obituary Lucille Ann Sanderfoot

With profound sadness and abiding love, we said goodbye to our dear mother, Lucille Ann (Sanderfoot) Weyenberg on Jun 6, 2022. Lucille married Melvin Weyenberg in 1949. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before his passing in 2004. Their legacy includes 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 13 (+1 on the way) great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Lucille was an enthusiastic woman. She worked various sales and clerical positions throughout her life, retiring from Nash Finch in 1992 and from Kings Variety in 2002. She was an active, lifelong member of St. John Nepomucene Church. She always carried a song in her heart and was very proud to have sung in the church choir.
Lucille is survived by her children: Dan (Donna) Weyenberg and Mary (Joe) Kempen; grandchildren: Michelle (special friend,Paul) Berghuis, Sara (Todd) Hietpas, Molly (Don) Vosters, Jennifer (Kirk) VandenWyngaard, James (Ryan Reilly) Geneske, Amy Weyenberg, Katie (Ryan) Biesterveld, Mitchell (Nicole) Kempen and Benjamin (special friend, Lindsay) Kempen; great grandchildren Holly (Bradley) Verhovec and their children KC and RJ, Anna Hietpas, Laura (Mark) Vandenberg and their child Peter, Adam Hietpas, Ellie, Evan and Grant Vosters, Alison, Kaitlyn and Jacob VandenWyngaard, Leo and Ava Biesterveld and Baby Kempen due to arrive soon. Lucille is further survived by her sister Joyce Tiedt; brothers Joe and Rachel Sanderfoot, and Bob and Mary Sanderfoot; in-laws: Pearl Van Eperen, Elaine Brown and Gerald and Kay Weyenberg.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, parents, in-laws George and Josephine Weyenberg; great-grandson; Derek Berghuis, brother; Harold Sanderfield; sister: Blanche Kerrigan; in-laws Gordon Kerrigan, Nathan Tiedt, John Brown Jerome Van Eperen, Floyd and Margaret Weyenberg and Donald and Barbara Weyenberg
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vanderbroek Street, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. For those wishing to view the service online, it will be livestreamed at www.stjn.org. Thw family wishes to thank the staff at St. Paul Elder Services for their gentle and caring support during Mom's last 4 years. She traveled throughtout the campus and each step along the way she was treated with compssion, love and dignity. We will forever be grateful.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Lucille's name for the Fox Valley Memory Project and St. Paul Elder Services.
