Jermayne Clara Wittmann Mar 29, 1925 — Nov 10, 2023 Kimberly

Jermayne Clara Wittmann was called home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2023. She was born on March 29, 1925, on the Kuepper Homestead, to the late Jake and Margaret (Mueller) Kuepper. Between milking and feeding cows she attended the Beecher School one room schoolhouse, and went on to graduate from Holy Angels, Darboy and Menasha High School in 1942.

Jermayne served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, as a Hospital Medic Apprentice of Surgery from May 1944 to September 1945. Stationed mainly at Cherry Point N.C., also Great Lakes, Camp Moffett N.Y., and Camp Lejume N.C.

Jermayne and Herbert were married August 30, 1947 at Holy Angels Church Darboy, making their home in Kimberly. Together they enjoyed road trips, playing cards, and family times. Jermayne and Herbert had six children: Ned (Sue) Wittmann, Gail (Mike) Thiel, Todd (Sarah) Wittman, Jay (Stephanie) Wittman, Dean (Diane) Wittman, and son Gary who passed. Jermayne was also fortunate to enjoy 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. They were all precious and very special to her.

Jermayne was a Eucharistic minister for many years, a member of Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly, American Legion Axillary Post #60, Kimberly Homemakers, Kimberly KRA, St. Vincent DePaul of Appleton, and Ladies of Holy Name.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert, son Gary, grandson Samuel, sister Florence Buchberger, twin brother Jerome Kuepper, sister-in-law Evelyn (Berken) Kuepper, brother-in-law Bernard Buchberger, she is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

After the war, our mother wanted to stay in Nursing, but decided to raise a family. The thing we remember the most, was that she was there for us at noon and after school, and when we were sick. (She made the best homemade desserts.)

The Funeral Liturgy for Jermayne will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH – DARBOY CAMPUS, W2806 County Road KK, Darboy. Visitation from 9:00 am until time of Mass. Condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name.
The family would like to thank Brewster Villages staff for their care and kindness.
