- Marcia Schumacher, 68, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter-in-law, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 3, 2012, in Kennesaw, GA after losing her courageous battle to pancreatic cancer. She was born on January 15, 1944, in Cleveland, OH, daughter of Marvin and Mildred Zelman who later moved to California when Marcia was the age of 4. On August 29, 1964, Marcia married the love of her life, David Schumacher.
In 1971, Marcia and David returned to Kimberly, WI and started Anchor Marine. She loved traveling and camping in their motor home, spending time with her close friends and was talented at cross stitching. Marcia cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities. She had a special gift of talking with people and got along with all.
Marcia is lovingly survived by her husband, David; two sons: Rick (Darlene) Schumacher, Kimberly, and Jeff (Katie) Schumacher, Kimberly; grandchildren: Eric, Whitney, Stephanie, Zachary, Kendal, Brayden, and Lilly; brothers: David (Veronica), Robert, and Danny (Karen) Zelman; mother-in-law: Margaret Schumacher, Kimberly; and many other special relatives and friends.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Robert Schumacher.
The funeral service for Marcia will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Interment will take place at Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Marcia's name.
