Glenroy "Glen" J. Zehren, age 85, of rural Marion passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Appleton Medical Center.

Glen was born on May 6, 1930 in Clintonville to Rudolph and Esther (Wisnefske) Zehren. After attending Clintonville schools he went to work as a carpenter. Glen worked for some years at McClone Lumber and Supply Company in Appleton. He met the love of his life, Dolores M. Bricco, in 1947 and he was united in marriage on December 31, 1949 at First English Lutheran Church, Appleton. By the late 1950's he started his own business, Glen's Custom Interiors, remodeling and building homes in the Appleton and Boulder Lake areas. In the mid 1990's he retired and the couple settled in rural Marion. Glen was not only a carpenter and handyman, but he also enjoyed owning and working on antique automobiles. He was a proud member of the Model A Ford Club - Flying Quail Chapter of Wisconsin. Glen liked traveling around the state to car shows to display his prize Model A which he owned for so many years. He cherished fond memories of being one of the first individuals to enter a vehicle in the Iola Car Show. Glen's other interests included deer hunting, ice fishing, and working on all sorts of projects around his house. He loved all of their cats and dogs throughout the years, especially their Boston Bull Terriers. Glen will be remembered most for his wonderful sense of humor and as a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Dolores, and two daughters, Dawn (Gary J.) Vandenberg of Hortonville and G. Jill (Alfred "Fred") Kesler of Darboy. There are four grandchildren, Jason (Jenny) Vandenberg, Gale Vandenberg, Christopher (Kristy) Vandenberg, and Brian (Anthony Parisi) Jansen. There are six great grandchildren, Preston Wade, Gabrielle Jansen, Garrison and Gabrielle Vandenberg, and Hayden and Caroline Vandenberg. There is one sister, Betty (Carlton "Butch") Reinke of Green Bay; and three brothers, Duane (Margaret) Zehren of White Lake, Gene (Sharon) Zehren of Peshtigo, and Roland (Carol) Zehren of Menasha. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Glen is preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law, Simon and Evelyn Bricco, and a grandson, Eric S. Jansen.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 15th at 11:00 AM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, 299 S. Main St., Clintonville. Pastor Zachary Lindbo will officiate and burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bear Creek. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is preferred by the family.

We wish to thank all the doctors and nurses at Appleton Medical Center, especially the ICU staff, for the excellent care provided to Glen. We would also like to thank Dr. David Anderla and Dr. Alexander Tretinyak for all the compassion and concern given to dad.
