Darlene F. Bongers, 77, of Appleton, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 3rd, 2022. She was born on November 12th, 1944 to the late Norman and Edna Mae Parsch in Wausau, WI.
Darlene grew up in Wausau and graduated from Wausau East High School, class of ‘62.
Darlene married Jerry Bongers in 1979 and spent the next 43 years loving each other. Together they ran J & D Storage and Bongers Landscaping where Darlene helped with the bookkeeping. She was always by Jerry’s side! Darlene also worked in real estate for several years, spending ten years as the administrator for Timber Realty in Appleton.
Darlene was a wonderful homemaker, exceptional cook and wonderful organizer. She was always on the go and made sure that everyone around her was taken care of first.
Darlene loved nature. Everything from the flowers in her gardens to the wildlife that came and went in her yard. She was especially fond of the squirrels and birds.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, wonderful wife and someone with a big heart.
Darlene is survived by her husband Jerry Bongers; daughter Lisa (Aaron) Beyer; grandchildren: Jennifer (Charlie Larson) Graf and Tyler (Lindsey) West; great-grandchildren Kaden and Mason Graf; sister Barbara (Arleigh) Lutz and her brother Lucas (Janet) Parsch. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Darlene is preceded in death by her parents Norman and Edna Mae Parsch.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11th, 2022 at Verkuilen Van Deurzen Little Chute location, 101 Canal Street. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until the time of services. |
