    • “CRITICALLY ILL - Mrs. James Vanderlinden, Spring street, received a telegram yesterday from a Minneapolis physician announcing the critical illness of her son, Martin J. Vanderlinden, who is taking a special course at the Minnesota state university. He is suffering from pneumonia. Mr. Vanderlinden graduated from Lawrence college last year and during the summer months was employed in the engineering department of the city hall.”

      Vanderlinden Funeral

      The body of Martin Vanderlinden, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Vanderlinden, who died of pneumonia at Minneapolis Friday morning arrived in Appleton at 5:30 o'clock this morning and was taken direct to Riverside chapel. It was accompanied from Minneapolis by the parents, Mrs. Frank Smith, sister, and the Rev. Harry Vanderlinden, brother of New York. The funeral was held from the chapel at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. The services were conducted by Dr. Samuel Plantz. The pallbearers were Orville and Lyndon Carey, Graem Ogran, T. Hoag, Carlton Stowe and Frank Diderich.”
