    • Mary C. Lenz, 90, Little Chute, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, July 29, 2011, at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna. She was born Feb. 1, 1921, in Philadelphia, Penn., the daughter of John and Katherine Kempisty. Mary's hobbies included, knitting, reading romance novels, and watching tv, especially soap operas, classic movies, and the Lawrence Welk show. She was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258 Auxillary. Her greatest passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved to spend time with.

      Mary is survived by her two daughters, Mary Ann (Gary) Marquardt, Pickeral; and Donna (Steve) Sanders, Kaukauna; seven grandchildren, Jim (fiance Laney) Marquardt, Vicky Marquardt, Scott (Ingrid) Marquardt, Shelly Weyenberg, Mindy Marquardt, Amanda (fianc? Nick) Marquardt, and Paula (Dustin) Diedrick; fourteen great-grandchildren, Craig (fiance Shayna), Heather, Alicia, Heaven, Cerina, Benjamin, Holly, Derek, Kendra, Autumn, Kaleb, Alexandra, Brock, and Claire; one great- great-grandchild, Hailey; a son-in-law, Dale Marquardt; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      In addition to her parents, Mary is also preceded in death by a daughter Diane Marquardt, four brothers and a sister.

      Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal Street, Little Chute, with Deacon Vincent DeGroot officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in Mary's name.

      Mary's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Paul Home for their years of wonderful care and support. Also a very special thank you to Deacon Vincent DeGroot.
