      DEATH CLAIMS MRS. WALTERS
      PESHTIGO- Mrs. Irma M. Walters, 78, of 133 Lake St., Peshtigo, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon at Marinette General Hospital.
      The former Irma Giribaldi was born at Barre, Vt., on Jan 8, 1899. She came to this area in 1925 and had resided here since. She was married to Joseph Walters on Oct. 1, 1919, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Walsh. He died on Nov. 27, 1971.
      Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Martin Techmeier of Peshtigo; a son, Ralph, of Stevens Point; a sister, Mrs, Peter Abruzzini of Kellogg, Idaho; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
      Mrs. Walters was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and Altar Society, the mission society, sewing circle, senior citizens group. She also was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, Women's Relief Corps, a member and past officer of the Homestead Grange, the American Legion auxiliary and of the past presidents club of the auxiliary and the Disabled American Veterans auxiliary.
      Final rites will be held at St. Mary Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Sladek officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery at Coleman.
      Friends may call at the Harper funeral home on Monday after 4 p.m. and on Tuesday until the funeral hour. The Christian Mothers and Altar Society rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Fulgence Masiak of the Pulaski monestary will lead a prayer service Monday at 7 p.m. at the mortuary.
      A memorial fund has been established.
