Wis. - Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Esler, aged 56, who passed away last Tuesday at her home in Kaukauna after an illness of over, two years, were held Thursday morning at St. Mary's church with interment in Holy Cross cemetery.
Mrs. Esler, nee Garlick, was born April 12, 1883, in Kaukauna and was united in marriage with Henry Esler on September 25, 1946, at Holy Cross Catholic church in that city. She was a member of St. Mary's church, Sacred Heart Court, No. 556, Woman's Catholic Order of Foresters, Knights of Columbus Ladies, Royal Neighbors of America, and auxiliary of the VFW and auxiliary of the Firemen's Association of Wisconsin.
Mr. and Mrs. Esler lived in Brillion for about nine years, and in 1919 moved to Kaukauna. While in Brillion, Mr. Esler conducted the old Opera house, now the Brillion theater. He has been fire chief at Kaukauna for a number of years.
Survivors are the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Elwood Kobusson and Mrs. Fred Ludke of Kaukauna; one son, Myron, who is a trainer for the Milwaukee Brewers now in spring training at Ocala, Florida; one brother, John Garlick, and two half-brothers, Frank and George Nois of Kaukauna, and four grandchildren.
