    • Green Bay - Anita (Liebergen, Vannes) Hermsen, age 96, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2018 at a local hospital. She was born in the Township of Bear Creek to the late Albert and Lena (Klemp) Gomoll on August 10, 1922. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1940 and Appleton Beauty College in 1941. Anita worked as a beautician for twenty-three years, mostly in the Green Bay Area.

      On September 10, 1943, she married Leander Liebergen, who preceded her in death May 26, 1956. On June 24, 1963, she married Bernard Vannes, who preceded her in death on May 18, 1968. She married Robert Hermsen on July 29, 1970, who preceded her in death on December 7, 1993.

      Anita was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and belonged to the Sewing Circle, Women's Guild and helped at the Red Cross Bloodmobiles. She was also a member of Sullivan-Wallen Unit 11 and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing things for others and traveling.

      Anita is survived by one son, Harold Liebergen (Laurie Carter), Lakewood; three grandsons, Lee Liebergen, Lakewood and Chad and Eric Liebergen, Green Bay; three great-grandchildren; and a special cousin and husband, Ann and Kenneth Rechelberg, Luxemburg.

      In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husbands, Leander Liebergen, Bernard Vannes and Robert Hermsen, and her son, David Liebergen in 1991.

      Visitation for Anita will be held at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1167 Kenwood Drive, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am.
