- lara Margaret (Duch) Nieland, 82, of Crivitz passed away Thursday, Sept. 23.
She was born and raised on a farm in Crivitz and attended Coleman High School, where she met her future husband, Wallace Nieland.
She was employed at Lloyd Flanders in Menominee after high school and the couple married in 1954. They moved to their own farm in Beaver, where they enjoyed many years of farming together. A proud, loving and hardworking woman, she was known for her excellent cooking and beautiful garden.
She is survived by two sisters, Hazel White of Crivitz and Helma Mayer of Lombard, Ill.
Her husband, Wallace preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 3 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Crivitz. Visitation will continue on Monday, Oct. 4 at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon. Interment will be at St. Marys Cemetery in Crivitz.
