- Lillian G. (Donati) Van Den Heuvel, 90, Menasha, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2013 at Prairie Home Assisted Living. She was born on February 22, 1922, daughter of Giuseppi and Valia (Pannochia) Donati in Pimbino, Italy, located in the Tuscany area. Lillian was united in marriage to Roman A. Van Den Heuvel on August 23, 1945 in Pimbino, Italy, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1998. Lillian was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha. She was a wonderful woman who loved knitting and cooking, and will fondly be remembered for her sparkling personality and her desire to speak only kind words.
Lillian is survived by her children: Cloud P. Van Den Heuvel, Gloria (Bruce) Beatty, and Joseph (Kathy) Van Den Heuvel; grandchildren: Calavino Donati (Doria Roberts), George (Shannon) Whitney, Susan Roberts, Brian (Becky) Van Den Heuvel, Cathy (David) Robbins, Christopher Beatty, Violet Adams, David (girlfriend Brooke Feavel) Adams, and Samuel and Jacob Van Den Heuvel; great grand children: Kimberly, Phillip, Anthony, Andrew, Jena, Brianna, and Shandel; great great grandchildren: Breya and Audrey; siblings: Claudio Donati, Pimbino, Italy, and Maruska Rigamondi, Milan, Italy; and many other relatives and friends in the US and Italy.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lillian is further preceded in death by a daughter: Rose Whitney; and brothers: Sergio and Adelmo Donati.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Mary Krueger officiating. Interment will take place in Resthaven Cemetery, Menasha. Visitation will be Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to Prairie Home Assisted Living, 1464 Kenwood Drive, Menasha.
Lillian's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Prairie Home Assisted Living, Heartland Hospice, her friends at the Menasha Senior Center, and Mary Krueger for all their wonderful care of Lillian.
