- Janet Marie VerKuilen, 66, Howard, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. Janet, the oldest of six children, was born to Charles Sr. and Cecelia (Oshefsky) Chlopek on Feb. 9, 1945, in Neenah, Wis. Jan graduated from Pulaski High School in 1963. After graduation she married Daniel J. VerKuilen, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2000. Before the death of her husband, Janet and Dan had many good times with family and friends. They especially enjoyed their cottage in Silver Cliff, spending time fishing, snowmobiling and playing cards. Life never seemed to be the same for her without Dan. Janet worked at various grocery stores in the Green Bay area as a meat wrapper. The latest being her job with Olsen's Piggly Wiggly, which she left in March of this year. Janet was known to be a very responsible and hardworking individual. Janet was the "Queen of Clean" and her home reflected it.
Janet's family includes her mom and dad; her sister and brother-in-law, the late Barbara Kanzenbach and Lloyd Kanzenbach, and their children, Tami, Jason, Wendy and Cory; a brother, David Chlopek , daughter, Tammy, Jeany Kallies, and children, Craig and Jamie; a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Terrance Konitzer, and their children, Dawn, Brenda, Laura and T.J.; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles Jr. "Chuckie" and Bonnie Chlopek, and their children, Brian, Sara, Katie; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Jeff Domke, and their children, April, Travis and Kyle; numerous great-nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Her father-in-law, Joseph VerKuilen also preceded her in death. She is further survived by a mother-in-law, Ella VerKuilen, two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.

Janet's family would like to thank the staff of Unity Hospice for their loving care and support of Janet and family during this difficult time. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Janet's special friends, Phyllis, and Jack McDowell.
Janet, your journey has been a long one and you gave it your best. It is now time to take a rest and join Dan, Barb and all your angels up above.
