- Alice Joyce Stammer, 85 of Appleton, died Tuesday April 18, 2017 at Rennes Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Embarrass, on February 6, 1932, daughter of the late Ernest and Jenny (Craw) . Alice married Richard Stammer on June 2, 1951. Richard preceded her in death on October 18, 2001.
Alice was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Appleton. In her younger years, Alice was a member of the musical group, "The Melody Mountaineers", they made several records together, in which Alice sang and played the accordion. She enjoyed baking, and cooking. Her greatest joy came from her time spent with family.
Alice is survived by three children: Bonnie (Richard) Hauk, Appleton, Randy (Julie) Stammer, Black Creek, and Vicki Mitchell (special friend Robert Schroder), Medina; nine grand children; 11 great grand children: sister, Arlene (Reginald) Schroeder, Eaton Rapids, MI; and a son in-law, Robert Femal, Appleton. She was further preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Femal; sister: Bernice; and two brothers: Gerald and Lloyd.
Funeral service for Alice will be 11:00 AM on Thursday April 20, 2017 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Zach Gebert officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday morning beginning at 10:00 until the 11:00 AM service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
Alice's family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Rennes, for all of their care and compassion.
