    • Phyllis C. Doherty, 78, of De Pere, died peacefully in her sleep at home on Monday November 20, 2017. She was born March 4, 1939 in Appleton. On November 10, 1962, she married Leonard Doherty at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Appleton. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2006.

      Phyllis was best known for ger baking skills. She started out at the Union Hotel waitressing and baking their desserts and went on the open the Pie Shoppe in Lakewood, WI. She and Lenny enjoyed their golden years living at their cottage and running their business. She will be remembered as a vital, fun woman who enjoyed life, had a heart of gold and loved her kids and grandchildren.

      Survivors include her sons, Mike Doherty and his special friend, Deanna, Kyle (Camren) Doherty, five grandchildren, Devan, Mikayla (Justin) Hoffman, Nathan, Ryan and Gavin Doherty, as well as one sister, Marilee Schultz, and many members of her extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lenny.

      Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday November 27, 2017. The evening will conclude with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue after 9:30 am Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere, until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday at the church with Father Benny Jacob, O. Praem., officiating. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
