- Mader, Phyllis A.
Phyllis Mader, age 89 of Darboy, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, June 19, 2017. Phyllis was born in Sheboygan Falls on September 18, 1927, daughter of the late Gilbert and Helen (Goeser) Erickson. On September 29, 1951, she married Donald Mader in Sheboygan Falls.
Phyllis was a loving and generous mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put the needs of others before her own. She loved gardening, canning season, visits to the casino with her friend Betty, decorating her home, and preparing special meals for her family. Everyone knew that her favorite time of day was 4:00 PM!
Phyllis is survived by seven loving children: Kathy Vogel of Appleton, Sue (Scott) Fairchild of Larsen, Duke (Janet) Mader of Rhinelander, Gilly (Kathy) Mader of Greenville, Randy Mader of Milano, TX, Scott (Nikki Nienhaus) of Kaukauna, and Cindy (Joe) Betters of Kimberly. There are also sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, a sister: Donna (Roger) Geurden of Kimberly, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, a son Keith "Beeper" in 2015, a daughter-in-law Carla Mader, a grandson Jason, a great-granddaughter Grace Marie, and by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A memorial funeral liturgy for Phyllis will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH - HOLY ANGELS CHURCH in Darboy. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Friday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the mass.
