Jansen, Paul Paul M. Jansen, 87, King, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006. He was born April 13, 1919, in Darboy, son of George and Clara (Kuepper) Miller, who preceded him in death. Paul was then raised by his aunt and uncle, his loving adoptive parents, George and Laura Jansen. Mr. Jansen was an officer of the United States Army and a World War II veteran. He was also a member of the Leo Van Roy American Legion Post #265, Darboy and the Forty & Eight Veterans Organization. Upon return from serving his country Paul continued his education and graduated from Lawrence University. He was the Credit and Insurance Manager for Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company until his retirement.
Paul enjoyed his pet dog, golfing, fishing, music, cards, bowling, pool, reading, and life itself.
He is survived by his three daughters: Olivia (Joe) Wittmann, Patricia Jansen, Paula (Ralph) Johnson; 11 Grandchildren: Joseph, Paul (Tasha), John (Lori), Richard, Linda Jo (John), Laura (Max), Michael (Samantha), Ralph III, Lisa, Michelle, and Kurt; 16 great grandchildren; his former wife, Mildred J. Jansen; a sister, Eleanor Schuh and two nephews.
A visitation and gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute, with military rites conducted by the William Verhagen American Legion Post #60, Kimberly to follow. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
