- Demerath, Pastor Patrick 56, passed away on April 24, 2014, at his home in Montgomery, Illinois.He was born on January 18, 1958 in Appleton, Wisconsin. He grew up in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin and graduated fromMount Pleasant High School in Mount Pleasant, Michigan in 1976. After high school he: Attended Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 1980. Later, he attended Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he (almost) obtained his Masters of Business Administration degree in 1993; joined Au Sable Grove Presbyterian Church in Yorkville, Illinois in 2004 and served, proudly, as their Commissioned Lay Pastor for 11 years; and began working for AlphaGraphics in Aurora, Illinois in 2004 as a sales representative where he worked 11 years. Patrick marriedhis soul mate, Patricia Skinner Demerath in 1981 in Milford, Michigan. They were happily married for 33 years. Patrick was an advocate for many charities; in particular, Heifer International and Hephzibah Children's Association among others. He enjoyed spending his free time with his family, close friends and members of his church. While in high school, Patrick received the nationally recognized John Philip Sousa Award for Excellence in Musical Achievement as a senior. Patrick is survived by his spouse, Patricia of Montgomery, Illinois; his two beautiful daughters, Emily and Lauren of Montgomery, Illinois; his parents, Leon and Rosalee Demerath; his brothers, Dennis, John, Matthew; his sisters, Margaret Demerath Bellinger and Nancy Demerath Young. He was surrounded by many extended family members and friends who admired and loved him very much. A visitation will be held at Dieterle Memorial Home located at 1120 S. Broadway in Montgomery, Illinois from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1st. A memorial service will be held at Au Sable Grove Presbyterian Church located at 5120 Wheeler Road in Yorkville, Illinois at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 2nd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to either Heifer International at 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202 or Hephzibah Children's Association at 946 North Boulevard, Oak Park, IL 60301.
