- Patricia Dawn Schumann (Purdy), 75, of New London, WI, went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2017, one day after her 75th birthday.
Dawn, as her friends know her, loved the Lord and read his word daily. Her primary mission in life was raising her family in Appleton, WI, according to the scripture. She loved gardening, nature, and cooking wholesome meals for her family. She continually expanded her mind with extensive reading and puzzles. She channeled her creativity by designing and building her homes and multiple gardens.
Dawn will be missed by her husband, Jim, of 53 years, her four children, Kelly Schumann (Natalia) of Katy, TX, Shawn Schumann (Bernadette) of Davie, FL, Layne Schumann of Montevallo, AL, and Heather Schumann (Sarah) of Sun Prairie, WI, and her 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by five siblings; Ryle Purdy, Susan Hency, Douglas Purdy, Layne Purdy, and Mary Dorn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ryle and Margie Purdy.
Services will be held on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME 2211 N. Richmond St, Appleton. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00.
