- Patricia A. Vande Burgt, 79, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011. She was born on June 24, 1932, in Crivitz, to the late Glen and Anna (Willis) Swick. Patricia married Adrian Martin Vande Burgt on Sept. 16, 1951. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Patricia was employed at Kaukauna Cheese for over 23 years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards and reading.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Adrian; her children, Debra (Allen) Menting, Kaukauna; Dennis (Patti) Vande Burgt, Neenah; Richard (Pamela) Vande Burgt, Appleton; Gail (Charles) Bowman, Neenah; and Gina (Dennis) Mader, Menasha; her grandchildren, Anne (Mike) Carey, Glen (Judy) Beach, Angela (Tony) Simmer, Jennifer Vande Burgt, Kim Vande Burgt, Abby Vande Burgt, Adam Vande Burgt, Megan Vande Burgt, Eric (Stacie) Bowman, Kristi (Derek) Rice, Jennifer (Adam) Mohr, Dana (Jacob) Kruse; her 17 great- grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, Marilyn Kamps, Richard (Margie) Swick, Jacci (Dave) Vandehey, Jill (Tom) Haufe; her in-laws, MaryAnn Swick, Jean Swick, Judy (Jim) Gavaert, Martin (Mary) Vande Burgt Jr, Bertha (Howard) Brux, Betty (Harvey) Schroeder, Mickie Miller, Barb (Laverne) Steinberg, Theresa Eiting; and her special cousin, Roger (Corrine) Schroeder.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Glen William Swick Jr., Earl Swick and Roy Swick; and her in-laws, Martin and Hendrika Vande Burgt, John Kamps, Regina Louison, Jerry Miller and Margaret Vande Burgt; and her nephew, Mark Swick.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital-ICU and Chaplin Teri, for their loving care. A memorial has been established in Patricia's name.
