    Mrs. Marie (Nienhaus) Boyce, 824 First St., Menasha, age 80, passed aways unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, Saturday, Nov. 25, 1995. She was born July 17, 1096 in Little Chute and had been a resident of Menasha all her life. Survivors include two sons, Edward of Appleton, and Robert of Menasha. She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett. The funeral will be Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Menasha with Father Roy Geenen officiating. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetary, Menasha. Friends may call at the Laemerich Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. prayer service, and at St. Patrick's Church after 10 a.m. on Wednesday. A memorial has been established.

    Boyce, Edward Richard

    Edward R. Boyce, Menasha, age 81, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009, at Manor Care in Appleton. He was born October 8, 1928, in Menasha, son of the late Emmet and Marie (Nienhaus) Boyce. Ed was married to Rita Vietenhans for 32 wonderful years until her passing in 1988. He worked at Prange's for many years until his retirement in 1991. Ed served in the Army and was in the Korean Conflict. He was formerly a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and St Mary Catholic Church.

    He is survived by numerous cousins and is further preceded in death by a brother, Robert Boyce.

    In honor of Ed's wishes, there will be no service held.

    Richard "Dick" Nienhaus, 75, of Little Chute, passed away with his loving family at his side on Thursday, April 28, 2016. He was born on October 31, 1940, son of the late Frank and Frances (Schultz) Nienhaus.

    Dick married Gloria Driessen on July 17, 1963. He served his country in the U.S. Army for three years. Dick was employed at Thilmany in Kaukauna for over 30 years until his retirement. He had what some would call "the gift of gab", he was able to talk to anyone. He enjoyed getting together with his friends for their morning breakfast club. Most importantly, he loved his family. He enjoyed following all of his grandchildren's events.

    Dick will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Gloria; his daughters and sons-in-law: Jill and Tony Duffeck, Amy Vander Zanden, Mike Vander Zanden, Kari and Paul Olson and Mikayla Fansler; grandchildren: Owen and Olivia Duffeck, Emily and Ethan Vander Zanden, Sadie, Caleb, Jonah and Kate Olson; siblings: Jeri (Jerry) Kempen, Lyle (Lola) Nienhaus, Harold "Butch/Whitey" (Nancy) Nienhaus; brothers and sisters-in-law: Glady Minten and Jerry (Audrey) Driessen; grand dogs and cat: Sugar, Cooper, Kitty, Jack, Zoey, Finn and Griffin; the breakfast club members; special friends: John and Joan Doering and Tom Frank; neighbors and friends near and far.

    Dick is happy to be reunited with his brother, Tom; his dad, Frank; dear friend, Vern Liesch; friend and brother-in-law, Erv Minten and most of all, his mother, Fanny…it has been too long. He is also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Rosalie and Don Vanden Heuvel.

    Dick's wishes were not to have a traditional service so the family invites anyone who knew Dick to a celebration of his life on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Countryside Golf Club, W726 Weiler Rd. Kaukauna, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a sharing of memories at 7:00 p.m. with Bob Lenz. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Dick's name.     The Nienhaus family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Hildbrand, Dr. Geller, Dr. Adeboye and the second floor staff at St. Elizabeth's ICU for all of your wonderful care and compassion.

    Thomas J. Nienhaus, Appleton, age 70, died peacefully in his sleep on December 28, 2013 at his home. He was born May 17, 1943 in Little Chute, WI, son of the late Frank and Frances (Schultz) Nienhaus. Tom attended St. John Nepomucene Elementary School in Little Chute, WI and graduated from Sacred Heart Seminary in Oneida, WI in 1961. He worked for Appleton Mills for many years. After his retirement, Tom worked for the Kimberly School System and the Appleton Post Crescent. He officiated many softball games and enjoyed sports, particularly the Wisconsin Badgers.

    Tom is survived by his daughter, Sister Cynthia Nienhaus, CSA of Fond du Lac; his son, James (Melissa) Nienhaus of Appleton; two grandchildren: Emily and Sarah; one sister: Geraldine (Gerald) Kempen, Darboy; three brothers: Lyle (Lola) Nienhaus, Kaukauna, Richard (Gloria) Nienhaus, Kaukauna, and Harold (Nancy) Nienhaus, Appleton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including his favorite cousin, Mary Beth Nienhaus, Appleton.

    Tom was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

    A Mass of Resurrection for Tom will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 2, 2014 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 213 E Wisconsin Ave., Appleton with Rev. William Hoffman officiating. Friends may visit the family Thursday at church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute, WI.

    In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the American Lung Association .
