He was born Mar. 1, 1925 in Menasha and was a lifelong resident. He served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Josephine Gartzke, Menasha; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Sandra) Eisenach, also of Menasha; four brothers: Clifford and Gordon, both of Menasha; David, Califnornia; and Roger, Menasha; two sisters: Mrs. Norman (June) Zilisch, Neenah; and Mrs. Ray (Donna) Dorschner, Menasha; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Wiecki Funeral Home, Menasha, and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Arkins officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 8 p.m.

    Menasha - Donna Mae Dorschner, nee Steffens, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. She was born August 13, 1932 and a life-long Menasha resident, daughter of the late Henry and Josephine (Pelky) Steffens. Donna attended St. Patrick's Elementary School and Menasha High School prior to graduating from St. Mary's High School in 1951.

    Donna married Raymond W. Dorschner on October 20, 1951 at St. Patrick's Church in Menasha. Ray was a famous Polka Band leader and Research Scientist at Marathon Corp. They had three sons: Randal, Steven and James.

    Donna enjoyed being a housewife and mother, reading, watching TV, going on trips with the family and going to the casinos.

    Donna is survived by her sons: Randal (Shirley) Dorschner, Steven (Carrie) Dorschner; daughter-in-law, Lisa Dorschner; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Carol Luebke. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her son, James; 3 infant children; a sister; and five brothers.

    A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 1, 2020 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Menasha, with Deacon Don Schultz officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. A Celebration of Life will be held in the future.

    The family would like to thank the staff of Ascension Hospice and Oakridge Gardens for the wonderful care of our mother.

    Neenah - Susan M. Johnson, age 69, left the earth for her eternal home peacefully with her family at her side after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. She was born in Neenah on June 13, 1950 to the late Norman and June (Steffens) Zilisch. Susan retired from SCA Tissue after 34 years of service.

    Susan is survived by her sons: Scott (Stacy) and Jason (Kari) Johnson; grandchildren: Christopher (Colleen) Johnson, Emilee Pankratz, and Austin Anderson; great grandchild, Everly Johnson; longtime companion and love of her life, Thomas Havinga; and sisters: Betsy (Stephen) Schroeder, Ginger (Dick) Nys, Bonnie Joosten, and Trisha (Charlie) Arndt; and brothers: David (Karen), Jimmy (Char), Clayton (Jerri), Donald (Sue), and Eddie (Tonya) Zilisch. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Zilisch.

    Notes:

    Oshkosh - James M. "Jim" Dorschner, age 55, of Oshkosh, died on Wednesday, August 21 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. He was born on May 28, 1964 in Neenah, a son of Raymond and Donna Dorschner. On July 6, 1991 he married Lisa Grunloh at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. Jim was a music teacher and band director at Oshkosh North High School. He also taught at Merrill Middle School in Oshkosh, Ripon High School, and St. Mary Catholic Schools in Menasha, where he taught grades Kindergarten through 12. Jim's passion was music and sharing it with others. For many years, he played in his father's polka band, "The Rainbow Valley Dutchmen," the Green Bay Packers tailgate band, and the Appleton City Band. He was a freelance musician in several groups including Wisconsin Symphonic Winds, Dorf Kapelle, brass quintets, and multiple performing groups of polka, dixieland, and jazz. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish where he was a religious education teacher and was

    involved with music ministry by playing brass instruments. He was a loving, devoted husband and father, and enjoyed telling Dad jokes to his beloved four children. He enjoyed cooking, household projects, reading, spending time with the family pets, and driving his family around in his 1958 Chevy Biscayne.

    He is survived by his wife Lisa, his four children Gloria, Raymond, John, Mary, his mother Donna, his two brothers Randy (Shirley) Dorschner, Steve (Carrie) Dorschner, his in-laws James (Diane) Grunloh and Shirley Grunloh, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    He was preceded in death by his father, and infant son Louis Andrew, three infant siblings, Anne, Debra, and Richard, and his grandparents.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday August 28, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament-St. Mary Site with Rev. Jerry Pastors officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 27, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at the church with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the church two hours prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

    A memorial has been established.

    The family would like to thank all who have helped them during this difficult time, especially the healthcare professionals at ThedaCare Medical Center who cared for Jim. The family would also like to thank all of Jim and Lisa's beloved friends, colleagues, and the parishioners of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish for their love and support.
