Formerly of 947 Wilson St. Kaukauna, age 96, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 20, 1993 after a short illness. She was born September 7, 1896 in Appleton, the daughter of the late Martin and Wilhelmina [Toonen] Weyenberg. Regina was a member of one of the founding families of Appleton, the Weyenbergs. On September 20, 1926 she married Maurice A. Emperor and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage together. Regena enjoyhed needlepoint and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and greatg grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holy Cross Altar Society and the Knights of Columbus.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Maurice A. Emperor; a daughter and son in-law, Yvonne and Donald Gottschalk, Racine; five grandchidren, Donald Jr., Steven, Mary Bacon, Kevin and Robert; six great grandchildren, Michelle, Claire, Lauren, Daniel, Brian and Patrick; a brother, Lloyd Weyenberg; beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by seven sisters and six brothers.
The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Paul Paider officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of services. There will be no visitation at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna. A memorial fund has been established for the St. Paul Home.
