      PIONEER APPLETON RESIDENT IS DEAD

      Mrs. Martin Weyenberg, 82, Dies At Home Here; Funeral Tomorrow

      Mrs. Martin Weyenberg, 82, 533 N. Appleton St., a resident of this community all her life, died at 12:15 Sunday afternoon at her home after a lingering illness. Born in Darboy, she lived in this city since her marriage in 1877. She and her husband, who survives her, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary ten years ago next month. Her maiden name was Wilhelmine Toonen. She was a member of the St. Joseph Church, the Apostolate, the Christian Mothers Society, and the Third Order of St. Francis.

      Survivors are her husband; eight daughters, Mrs. Joseph Schiffer and Mrs. Reinhard Wenzel, Appleton; Mrs. Arnold Van and Mrs. W. J. Femal, Green Bay; Mrs. Peter Gonnering, Freedom; Mrs. J.J. Glenker, Milwaukee; Mrs. D.C. McCarthy and Mrs. Morris Emperor, Kaukauna; four sons, Lloyd, Tucson, Arizona; Frank L., Edmond, and Sylvester, Milwaukee; one brother, John Toonen, Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Stephen Deitzler, Kimberly, and Mrs. Michael Kortenhof, Darboy; 19 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

      The funeral will be held at 9:30 tomorrow morning at the Wichmann Funeral Home and at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph Church with burial in the parish cemetery. Prayer services will be held at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home. The body will be at the funeral home from this afternoon to the hour of the services.

      Following grandsons served as bearers, Gordon Schiffer, Roman Wenzel, Ned Weyenberg, Lawrence Gonnering, Gerald Van, and Robert Weyenberg.
