- Christy Ann Fox
Age 55, passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Kimberly on Dec. 28, 1954, to Dorothy H. (Weyenberg) and Fred J. Fox. Christy attended Plamann School and graduated at age 21. She worked at the Sheltered Activity Center and then Valley Packaging until she retired. She lived her entire adult life supported by the staff of Agape of ppleton in both the group home and sheltered apartment programs. Christy received her first Holy Communion at Holy Name Church, Kimberly and enjoyed attending their special education religious program. hristy enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on Lake Poygan fishing, swimming, boating and visiting the neighbors. She participated in Special Olympics bowling and swimming. She loved everything bridal: dresses, veils, music, bouquets and dancing. Christy also enjoyed all types of music, writing, making hook rugs and all animals. She participated in the Beaming Program, riding and grooming horses until he was no longer able. Christy had the unique talent of remembering birth and anniversary dates and enjoyed reminding family of upcoming events. She is survived by her sisters: Priscilla (Jacob) Bons of rescott, Ariz., Mariann (Roy) Vandenberg of Appleton, and her brother: Ted Sr. (Jancice) Fox of Winneconne, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents, Christy was receded in death by her grandparents: John and Carrie Fox, Peter and Helen Weyenberg; Godparents: Uncle Buck and Aunt Anna Weyenberg, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Agape of Appleton for the many years of support, caring and wonderful memories. They were her extended family whom she cherished. Also Dr. Joyce Bauer for
providing extra care and attention to meet all Christys needs and Thedacare At Home Hospice for their guidance and support through this journey. A memorial fund is being established in Christys name.
A memorial service for Christy was held Jan. 4 at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating.
