Mrs. Martin Kieffer [Regina Meulemans] Altendorf Pl. Kaukauna
Age 80, Wednesday, October 4, 1989 at home. She was born January 30, 1909 in Wrightstown, the daughter of the late Edward and Barbara [Buechel] Meulemans. She was raised in Wrightstown and had lived in Freedom from 1933 until 1986, when she moved to Kaukauna. She started the Freedom Forever 4-H Club and Silver Star Homemakers. She had been past treasurer of the Christian Mother's and head of the Clipper Club at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. She also had been employed at Geenen's General Store in Freedom.
She is survived by a son and a daughter in-law; Ronald and Barbara Kieffer, Menominee Falls; a daughter and son in-law; Norma Jean and Luis Furhman, Kaukauna; six grandchildren; David, Don, Bob and John Furhman; Connie and Gretchen Kieffer; four great grandchildren; two brothers; Emil [Marie] Meulemans, Reedsville; Norbert [Ceil] Meulemans, Wrightstown; four sisters; Marguerite Frahm; Evelyn [John] Blick, both of Appleton; Edna [Henry] Spierings, Lorraine [William] Green, both of Freedom.
She was preceded in death by her husbane, Martin, in 1971; two grandsons; and two sisters; Mildred Arnoldussen and Mamie Leidel. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 1989 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, with Fr. Leander Nickel officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna, from 4 until 9 p.m. Friday, and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
