Ferdinand 'Chuck' Bowers

Age 77, died Friday evening at Kaukauna Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was born March 1, 1905 in Wrightstown. He was employed by the United States Corps of Engineers and C.R. Meyer Construction prior to farming for 17 years. Mr. Bowers was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Catholic Order of Foresters, of which he was a 50 year member.
Survivors include his wife; Justina Ebben Bowers; a daughter and son in-law; Donna and Dave Doolittle, Kaukauna; two sons and daughters in-law; Roger and Patricia Bowers, Carl and Judy Bowers, all of Kaukauna; four brothers; Alvin 'Sam' Bowers, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Elzear and Ralph Bowers, both of Wrightstown; and Olmer Bowers, Kaukauna; five sisters; Mrs. Lucy Arnoldussen, Little Chute; Mrs. Norman (Marie_ Huss, Abbotsford; Mrs. Corrain Van Wychen; Kaukauna; Mrs. Melvin (Jean) Van Asaten, Kimberly; and Sister Rita Bowers, Racine; 14 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with Rev. Mike Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday until the hour of the service. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 Sunday evening.
