Felzer, David J. "Dave" David Felzer, 65, Little Chute, died Saturday, November 24, 2007, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born May 21, 1942, in Little Chute, son of Alvin and Martha (Hietpas) Felzer. Dave married Sandy Williams February 21, 1963. He began his working career as the first Jack's Pizza employee. He was then employed as a Journeyman Painter for over 44 years working with Eugene "Shorty" Peeters for many years before becoming self employed for the last 20 years prior to his retirement. He was an avid bowler, scoring a 300 game and several 700 series. His love for camping, classic cars, and his rock garden were a few of the many passions he shared with his friends and family. Dave will always be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. His good humor and laughter will forever bring a smile to our face and laughter in our hearts. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute.
Dave is survived by his wife, Sandy; his son and daughters: Steve (Michele) Felzer, Freedom; Sheila (Kenneth) Schultz, Kimberly; Heather and Holly Felzer, Menomonee Falls; four grandchildren: Laura and Luke Felzer; Shannon and Deon Schultz; a brother, Tom (Linda) Felzer, Appleton; step mother-in-law, Lois Pozolinski; sisters- and brothers-in-law: Doris Felzer, Appleton; Margo (Richard) Miller, Darboy; Robin (Shelly) Williams, Green Bay and Jan (Christine) Williams, Neenah and Diane Reinke, Darboy; many nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Leo Barlow; a brother, Stanley "Boots" Felzer; father- and mother-in-law, James and Yetive Williams and brother-in-law, Kim Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute with Fr. Jim Hablewitz officiating. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the cortege leaves for the church. A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
