- Victor Van Grinsven, age 73, of Kaukauna, passed away after a brief journey with cancer the morning of December 5th, 2016, at his home surrounded by family. He was born January 19, 1943 to the late Theodore and Josephine (Meulemans) Van Grinsven.
Victor was an auto body technician, self-employed for many years, finishing his career into retirement with his brother, Dennis, at DJ's Auto Body in Brothertown.
Victor especially enjoyed watching Nascar, and was an avid Packer fan, never missing a game! Vic also had a love for fishing and always enjoyed his senior bowling leagues! Another joy of his was watching his grandchildren play sports and cheering them on at their events.
He is survived by his beloved and caring wife, Pat; a son Troy; daughters: Debbie (Eric) Schley and Robin (Eric) Duchow; grandchildren: Clint Schley, Samantha (Benny) Boesch, Nathaniel Duchow, Britta Duchow (special friend Ryan), and Emily Duchow; and unborn great granddaughter. Also, survived by his Golden Retriever companion, Hunter; brother: Dennis (Ann) Van Grinsven; sister: Bonnie (Bill) Schussman; brothers-in-law: Earl Wallace, William (Jean) Wallace; sisters-in-law: Grace (Melvin) Hietpas, Donna Eake, Mary Wallace, and Rose (Gene) Verhagen; and many special nieces and nephews.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents: Theodore & Josephine Van Grinsven, step father Raymond Akeman; Pat's Parents: James & Stella Wallace, brothers-in-law: Kenny Wallace, Roland (Oscar) Wallace, Dennis Eake, and sister-In-Law: Carla Wallace
A funeral service for Vic will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating.
