Delrow Lila L. (Pennings)
Lila L. Delrow (Pennings), Kaukauna, age 82, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born January 11, 1926, in Phlox, WI, to the late William and Bertha (Knorr) Pennings. Lila met her late husband, Norb, while working at Fort Hopkins Restaurant in Appleton. Prior to his death in 2006, the couple enjoyed 55 years of marriage. Lila was a 45-year member of St. Francis Parish in Hollandtown. Throughout her life, she enjoyed bowling in league at Van Abel's, playing cards, car rides, volunteering at St. Francis School, having pool parties with all the Dundas kids and neighbors, going out for breakfast, and her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters: Suzanne Arrowood, Appleton; Jean (Dale) St. Arnold, Kaukauna; Judy (Jerry) Van Schyndel, Combined Locks; three grandchildren: Lindsay Cummings, Jenna Wirth and Hannah St. Arnold. She is further survived by two sisters: Helen (Claire) Dutkievic and Evelyn Schmidt; a brother, Clarence Pennings and brother-in-law, Mel (Sharon) Delrow and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert, two sisters, Beatrice Watry and Marie Pennings, and one brother, Alvin Pennings; four brothers-in-law: Julius Schmidt, Giles Watry, Harvey Kobussen and Robert Delrow; two sisters-in-law: Betty Pennings and Eunice Pennings.
Lila's Funeral Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday June 27, 2008, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, with Deacon Jerry Kuborn officiating. Friends will be received on Friday at the Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. 920-766-2099.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rasmussen, Dr. Baum and the caring staff of St. Elizabeth's Hospital, and Deacon Jerry Kuborn for his compassion and friendship.
