Eugene Weyenberg, 57, father of Mrs. Roger( Lynn ) Hooyman of Kaukauna, died at 1 AM Friday October 2, 1981 His residence was at 3655 Emmons Rd., Route 4, Appleton. He was born June 7, 1924, in Appleton, He was employed by the Post Crescent until ill health forced his retirement. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Mr. Weyenberg was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Appleton, Little Chute Post #258, American Legion and the Kaukauna-Little Chute Barber shoppers.
Survivors include his wife, Germaine (Hinkens) Weyenberg; five daughters and son in-law; Cathy and Tom Laux, Appleton, Betty Jean and Gary Hurst, Little Chute; Lynn and Roger Hooyman, Kaukauna; Chris and Dave Sprangers, Combined Locks; Mary and Richard Reetz, Little Chute; two sons; Mark, Green Bay; Paul, at home; a brother, Richard, Kimberly; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Betty) Grafmeier, Kimbery; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, a sister, Frances, and a grand child.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute, with the Pastor Dan Towas officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday abd from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service. There will be an American Legion visitation at 7 p.m. Sunday.
