Age 85, formerly of Appleton, passed away 5 o'clock Friday morning after a short illness. He was born July 26, 1887 in the Town of Vandenbroek. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.
He is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Michael [Lucille] Kolosso, Mrs. Lawrence [Leona] Speel, both of Appleton; Sr. Magdeline, O.L.V.M. Huntington, Indiana; and Mrs. Darol [Florence] Duca, Racine, Wisconsin; two sons, Francis and James both of Appleton; three brothers, Henry, Simon, and Theodore, all of Little Chute; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph [Christine] Verhagen, Little Chute; and Miss Marie De Groot, California; 32 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
His wife Anna preceded him in death September 28, 1971. Funeral services will be held Monday, 10 o'clock at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brettschneider-Trettin Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday until the time of services on Monday. A prayer service will be held at 8 o'clock Sunday evening at the funeral home.
