      Daniel J. De Groot

      Age 50, passed away 4:30 a.m. Sunday following a short illness. He was born April 21, 1922 in Little Chute and has lived in Appleton most of his life. He was employed at the U.S. Postal Service, and was a veteran of World War II.

      Survivors include his father, Frank, Appleton; two brothers, Francis and James, both of Appleton; four sisters, Mrs. Michael [Lucille] Kolosso, and Mrs. Lawrence [Leona] Speel, both of Appleton; Sister Madeline O.L.V.M., Huntington, Indiana; Mrs. Darrell [Florence] Duca, Racine, Wisconsin.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brettschneider-Trettin Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Tuesday until time of services. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
