Rites Held Monday For "Boots" Lamers
Prominent Fox River Valley Ball Player Died After Long Illness
Theodore Boots Lamers, 49, Little Chute, died Thursday morning after an illness of about a year.
Born in Little Chute on December 23, 1894, he lived there his entire life. He was prominent in Fox river vally baseball years ago and was well known by the nickname of "Boots." He played shortstop. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and St. John church.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mary Catherine and Jane at home, a brother, Martin, Little Chute, and five sisters, Mrs. Wright Smith, Apleton, Mrs. Martin Peeters, Milkwaukee, Mrs. Herbert Gresenz, New London, Mrs. Frank Austin and Mrs. Joseph Evers, Little Chute.
Funeral services were held from St. John church Monday morning with the Very Rev. J. J. Sprangers officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
