      Casey, Helen A.
      Helen A. Casey (nee Beschta), age 83, of Appleton, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Brewster Village. She was born December 13, 1924, in Grand Chute, to Matt and Helen (Seif) Beschta. Helen was a lifelong resident of Appleton, and was united in marriage to Roy Casey on September 25, 1943. He preceded her in death June 25, 1982.
      The Casey's were charter members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Helen worked for Zwicker Knitting Mill and Mike's Town & Country store for several years. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Center.Helen loved card playing with family and friends, especially sheepshead, "31," and Uno. She had an amazing garden, and loved cooking and baking. She shared her wonderful Christmas treats, cookies and candies, with her family, friends, and neighbors. She liked traveling and dancing, and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.
      Survivors include her three sons: Ken Casey, Appleton; Claude (Nancy) Casey, Pawtucket, R.I.; Ed Casey, Oshkosh; her granddaughters: Heather and Stephanie Casey; her sister, Beatrice Schuh, Oshkosh; four sisters-in-law: Eleanor Beschta, Florence Gabriel, Ricky Casey, and Marcella Casey; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy, three brothers, Vernon, Leonard, and Willard Beschta, brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank Schuh, Marion (Ray) Hoier, Clarence (Delores) Casey, Harold (Delores) Casey, Erwin Casey, Leo Casey, Herb Gabriel, Ray (Ada) Casey, and Margaret Klein.
      The funeral mass for Helen will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008, at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 West Marquette Street, with Father Thomas J. Farrell as celebrant. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of mass at the church. Helen will be laid to rest next to Roy at St. Joseph Cemetery. A memorial in her name is being established by the family.
      The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at Brewster Village, especially the Mills, for their excellent loving supportive care given to Helen.
