      Age 79, died Wednesday at Wood Veteran Hospital. He was born November 25, 1900 in Appleton and had lived most of his life in Kaukauna. He was a 5th Ward Alderman in the City of Kaukauna and President of the Common Council during the late 30's and 40's. He had been employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company for over 24 years and then by the City of Kaukauna as superintendent of the sewage treatment plant until his retirement in 1965 He was a World War I Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Frances (Queoff) Femal; five daughters: Mrs. Clayton (Kathleen) McCabe and Mrs. Patrick (Helen) McCabe, both of Little Chute; Mrs. Donald (Mary Ellen) Hoh, Combined Locks; Mrs. William (Grace) Baldwin, Green Bay; Mrs. Robert (Sally) Geenen, Kaukauna; two sons: Clifford and Phelan, both of Kaukauna; four stepdaughters: Mrs. Robert (Marge) Collins, Green Bay; Mrs. William (Carol) Kuchenbecker; Mrs. John (Shirley) Timm; and Mrs. Mary Brem, all of Appleton; two stepsons: Clarence Rockey, Appleton and Don Rockey, Green Bay; 28 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren; 46 step-grandchildren, 17 step-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. Mike Hoffmann officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 Friday evening.
