- John Van Laanen, 70, Little Chute, died at 6 o'clock this morning in Appleton. Influenza was given as the cause of death.
Born June 17, 1866 in Holland, he came to the United States when he was three years old. He operated farms in the town of Oneida and at West DePere and live in Little Chute the last year.
Survivors are one son, Albert, Little Chute; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred Zetnich, town of Oneida; Mrs. John Ambrosius, Mrs. George Ebben, W. DePere; one brother Peter, Roselawn; two sisters, Mrs. Peter VandenHeuvel, W. DePere; Mrs. Dora VanLyssel, Wisconsin Rapids.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Tuesday morning at St. John church, Little Chute, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery at Oneida.
