- Walter M. Manteuffel Jr., "Wallie" 71, Appleton, died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 19, 1944, son of the late Walter and Bernice (Flood) Manteuffel.
Walter served his country in the Army National Guard. He was an avid Packer, Badger, and Brewer fan. Walter was the biggest fan of his grandson Connor. He enjoyed attending all of Conner's sporting events when he was able, or watching them from his computer or television.
Walter is survived by his two children: daughter Kelly Seiler, Appleton; and her mother, Sherry Manteuffel, Appleton; and his son, Michael (Marie), Silver Spring, MD; and his mother, Patti Manteuffel, Franklin, WI; grandson Connor Seiler; sister, Darice (Tom) Techlin, Appleton; two brothers, Wayne (Judy), Little Chute, and Wade (Cindy),Fremont; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service for Walter will be 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 3:00 PM until the hour of service.
Walter's family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire ICU staff at Appleton Medical Center, for all of their care and compassion.
