Concelebrated Mass Friday For C. J. VanDeHey
A concelebrated mass for Clement J. 'Clem' VanDeHey, 68, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen, the Rev. John Schuh and the Rev. Robert Kabat concelebrating. Mr. VanDeHey of 509 Diedrich St., died Tuesday morning, January 12, at the Kaukauna Community Hospital following a lingering illiness. He was born March 23, 1913, in Wrightstown, and had lived in the Kaukauna area most of his married life. He had been employed at the Thilmany Pulp and Paper as a first class carpenter in the maintenance department for 28 1/2 years. He retired in 1969. A member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mr. VanDeHey had served as a church usher, and also was a member of the parish council. He was also a member of the Thilmany Quarter Century Club.
Survivors include his wife, Colette Van Lanen VanDeHey; two daughters and sons in-law, Ethel and James Van Der Burgt of Kaukauna, and Joanne and Dr. Antone Grosso of Portland, Oregon; six brothers, Nick and Leonard, both of Little Chute, David of Kimberly, Ernest of Kaukauna, Amos of Wrightstown, and Gordon of Freedom; four sisters, Mrs. Nick (Gertrude) Vanden Berg of Freedom, Mrs. Martin (Delia) Lamers and Mrs. Wilbert (Irene) Verhagen, both of Appleton, and Mrs. Norbert (Loraine) Weyenberg of Hollandtown. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Lisa, Brenda, and Michael Van Der Burgt, and Annette, Steven, Michael, John, and Susie Grosso, and nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, three sisters, and one grandchild Michelle Van Der Burgt.
Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna, after 4 p.m. today (Thursday) and Friday morning preceding the funeral mass at Holy Cross. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 this evening at the funeral home. A memorial is being established for Holy Cross Catholic Church.
