    • bit. De Pere Journal Democrat 10-24-1991 Basil J. Verhasselt, 67, 5510 Somerset Dr., Santa Barbara, Calif. died Thursday, Oct. 10, a t his home after a lengthy illness. In 1960 Basil and his wife Loretta (DeCleene) moved to Sa nta Barbara from Wrightstown. Mr. Verhasselt was a construction superintendent for Thielmann Construction company, and a me mber of Carpeters Local No. 1062. He retired in 1987. Basil was a chartered member of the Pam pered Camper Club; a member of the International and Southern California Retractable Club; Fa bulous 50's Ford Club and the Santa Barbara Elks Lodge No. 613. Survivors are his wife; two s ons, Jerome, Woodside,; Jim, Santa Barbara; and one daughter, Karen Verhasselt Arnold, San Fr ancisco; three grandchildren; sisters, Mary Thede, Bella Vista, Ark; Joan Ecker, Green Field , Wis,; Zita Wessa, Fountain Valley, Calif.; brothers John and Leo Verhasselt, Wrightstown, h e was preceded in death by a brother Orlo. Services were held in Santa Barbara, Calif.
