- Helen E. Leitermann, age 69 passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Cherry Meadows Hospice. She was born March 21, 1941 daughter of the late Joseph and Geneva (Rentmeester) Daoust. Helen was a graduate of Seymour High School, class of 1959 and NWTC, School of Nursing as a L.P.N. On June 15, 1963 she was united in marriage to Gerald A. Leitermann at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Black Creek. Helen was employed at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home as well as Outagamie County Health Care Center. She retired as a secretary for Dr. Ronald Possell, DDS. Helen was a member of Ladies of Holy Spirit, Mission Ladies of Holy Spirit, a volunteer at Holy Name School, and the Kimberly Booster Club. Her hobbies included sewing, cross-stitch, embroidery, reading, going on bus tours, baking (especially cookies), camping, and many sporting events.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry; her three children: Sharon (Karl) Atkinson of Almond, Tom (Michelle) Leitermann of Appleton, and Laurie (Andy) Eiting of Kaukauna; 5 grandchildren: Logan Menting, Taylor and Ashley Leitermann, Alyssa and Aaron Eiting; 1 great grandson, Jayce Leitermann; four brothers and sisters: Robert (Grace) Daoust, Ruth (Gene) Kroberger, Mildred (Alan) Sherwood, and Eugene Daoust. She is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Darlene (Lloyd) Gunther, Marlene (Lloyd) Hermsen, Jim (Phyllis) Leitermann; her mother-in-law, Martha Leitermann, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Herbert Leitermann.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, December 6, 2010 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 602 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly with Fr. Dave Beaudry and Fr. Jim Vennix concelebrating. Friends may call at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. concluding the evening. Friend may call again directly at CHURCH on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Helen's name.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of our family, friends, neighbors, and also the staff at Cherry Meadows for the extra love and care they gave to mom.
