    • lbert “Al” Maas, age 76, W4920 Resort Road, Bonduel, passed away Saturday evening, June 14, 2003, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay from a massive stroke. He was born July 8th, 1926, in the Town of Seymour, son of the late Richard and Minnie (Manke) Maas. On June 8, 1957, he was united in marriage to Sharlet “Sharie” Maass in Seymour. Al was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Shawano. Al was employed with Wisconsin Electric for 36 years. He was a member of the Seymour Lions Club where he received the Melvin Jones Award and was a member of the Shawano American Legion. Al was a past Seymour City Alderman and enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren, bowling, hunting, fishing, golfing and volunteering in community events.

      He is survived by his wife Sharie, his children; Brian (Deb) Maas, Seymour; Virginia Maas and fiancee Marlin Prowell, Bellingham, Washington; Scott Maas, Milwaukee; four grandchildren, Derek, Kyle, Brandon and Justin; sisters, Mildred Kyin, Madison; Ethel Roderick, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Roberts, Green Bay and Kym Maass, Seymour.

      Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Seymour from 4 p.m. until funeral services at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 with the Rev. Paul Brinkman officiating, burial in the parish cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home assisting the family.

      A memorial fund has been established.
