- Darlene Biese, 65, Little Chute, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at home with her husband by her side. She was born April 23, 1947, daughter of the late Maylon and Eva Martin. In November of 1994, Darlene married Gene Biese, and together they shared many special trips to the land in Wild Rose. She was a caregiver for many years and enjoyed helping the elderly. Darlene loved her trips to the casino, ice fishing, and most importantly, her time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Gene; children: Brenda (Renee Younk) Bruhn, Jim (Sandy) Nechkash, and Wanda (Pat Howlett) Nechkash; a step-son, Brian (Jennice) Biese; grandchildren: Natasha (Brandon) Diedrick, Ricky Daniels, Eva Franklin, Jake McKay, Chyenne and Dakota Nechkash, Dylan, Trevor and Logan Biese;great-grandchildren: Nolan and Hunter; siblings: Whitey (Pat) Martin and Yvonne (Jeff) Reynolds; sisters- and brothers-in-law: Cat (Cliff) Brockman, Linda (Roger) Kahler, Jim (Connie) Biese, and Jerry Biese; many other special family members and friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle; her parents; a sister, Fern; and her best friend, Dot.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal St., Little Chute, with Msgr. Jim Vandenhogen officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in Darlene's name.
